Jonathan Hutchinson - Just A Little About Me
Hello and well met. I live in the Green Mountain State of Vermont. I was born here and have lived here most of my life. It is a pretty mellow lifestyle overall and I like it.
I was educated through the Barre City School system and graduated in 1987. In September of 1987 I went off to join the United States Army and served 3 years. I was a Combat Engineer in the 58th Engineers “Red Devils”, stationed in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. We were in the Fulda Gap, right in the main attack path of the Red Army, had they attacked. I was in Germany when the wall came down and East and West germany became one again. Those 3 years are forever burned into my memory as they were a very intense time in my life.
I got back here to the United States on July 30th, 1990, just a couple of days before Iraq attacked and took over Kuwait. I thought for sure they would have called me back so I didn’t unpack for a couple of months. They never did call me back.
The Newspaper Years
I found a job delivering newspapers soon after I got home. It was a Motor Route. As a sub-contractor, I was technically working for myself, but the newspaper had a Route Manager who was kind of my boss. It payed well and I liked being out on the road delivering the paper and talking to my customers.
I liked it so much that I did newspapers for nearly 13 years. Not all for the same paper, I drove for just about every newspaper in Central Vermont. One thing I noticed over the years is that my pay never went up. The only way to get a raise was to deliver more, to take on more work. As gas prices went up and vehicle maintenance and repairs went up, my pay was being devastated. I finally gave up the Newspaper Business in 2005.
Since 2005, I have been in the auto parts business. After 5 years in the business, I have found that only store managers and salesmen make any decent money.
A Personal Online Business
I have been on the internet since 2000. It is only recently though that I have looked at the internet as a vehicle to creating a Stay-At-Home-Income. I have dabbled in online business in the past, but it is now time to get serious about changing my life, and moving from poverty to prosperity. You will be able to follow the entire journey right here on my blog.
Actually, with the economy as bad as it is, there is no better time than now to start making a living via the internet. If you are waiting around for jobs to be created, you could be waiting 4 or 5 years according to many experts.
My blog is going to be one of the very best places on the ‘net to find the Heavy Metal that every metalhead needs for his collection. I will also delve into running a business and earning an income on the internet. My politics and eye on the economy will play a smaller role. If it’s going on in my life, I am likely to blog about it.
