It’s 6:00 am on a Monday morning and the alarm goes off. I take a shower, feed the cats, and the out the door I go for another 9 hours at a job I loathe. During the summer the 15 minute drive isn’t too bad, but when the snow is flying, it’s just miserable. I get back home at about 5 pm after a long day of selling and delivering auto parts. By the time I’ve fixed something to eat and cleaned up, it’s just about time to go to bed to get up and do it all again.

The best part is on Friday, when I get paid. After slaving all week at $10 an hour, I get to bring home about $360 per week.

Oh wait! That’s where I started from!

After years of living that American Dream, I just got angry one day. There had to be a better way to make a living than trading my time for a few bucks. I dove into the internet and discovered a whole new world of opporunity.

It’s been a couple of years now and I have been through some hard times. I have struggled and persisted through it all, knowing that there is a way for a very average person to create wealth via the internet.

I’ve tried everything. Pay Per Click, Traffic Exchanges, Safelists, Adwords, Media Buys, Pay Per View, Info Product Creation, and many more. All these strategies have their place but one question begs to be asked….

Where Does A Brand New Online Marketer Begin?

It all begins with your Blog. Your blog is your Core, your Central Hub. You may one day branch out into 100 different online enterprises, but your Blog will always be your Core. From your blog, you build the credibility and trust that people look for when they’re looking to buy something, or do business.

Here’s a look at what I believe is going to be my Blogger Lifestyle in the not too distant future…

I get home after a night at the races well after midnight. After winding down, I finally crawl into bed just after 1 am. At about 7 or 8am, I crawl out of bed and stretch. After a leisurely breakfast and some time playing with the cats, I finally sit down at the computer to begin my day. Check my email, check my traffic and affiliate stats, and visit the blog. After writing a post, I shoot out messages to FaceBook, YouTube, and Twitter. My typical day takes about an hour. I now have the rest of the day to take care of errands, go shopping, and build racecars.

Now, I believe anyone can create a full-time income on the internet via blogging. It’s so crazily simple it just blows my mind. It does take effort. This is not a magic button that you can push and instantly produce money. But, if you blog about something you are passionate about, you will find like minded people that want to absorb any and all content you create. Active, successful blogs can bring in $4,000 – $9,000 a month, and much more in some cases.

Starting a blog is as easy as going to www.wordpress.org . A self-hosted WordPress blog IS the only option. Free blog services can and will take your blog down at any time and then you have lost all of your effort. It’s a hard lesson to learn first hand! Wordpress offers some hosting deals from within the website. I used Dreamhost. They offer one-click WordPress set-up. After about 3 minutes, you can than log-in and begin using your blog. It is that easy.

There are tons of themes, plugins, and widgets to use. Some themes are totally customizable. I am using a very basic theme with minimal modifications right now, but I am always adding to it and tweaking it. That’s the beauty of WordPress.

Many people have ask me how to blog and how to make money blogging. As I mentioned earlier, I have struggled for years. Blogging wasn’t always easy for me. I was like a child, stumbling around in the dark, not really knowing what I was doing or where I was going.

After all that struggle, I finally found a resource that I could trust. I finally learned what I needed to know to start getting results. If it wasn’t for this solution, I would probably still be struggling. Or I would have quit, for even the strongest of wills can be crushed eventually… Once I checked it out I knew I still had a chance to make something of this blogging thing.

What I found out about the Blogger Lifestyle is that, if you are like me, you don’t want to spend a bunch of time trying different things on your own.  If you’re serious about it, you want a step-by-step plan from people you trust to give you the tricks that actually pay off in the shortest time.

Once I got started with the training and software at Blog Success, my “blogger’s life” finally took off and is headed directly to that place I want to be.

So, now when people ask me about my blog, how I get traffic, and how I make money from it, I just link them to this story.  It’s a lot easier, and, I am proud to tell people about my journey so far with blogging.
